4 Ways to Celebrate Jesus

“ The Lord has done great things for us; we are glad”

God is so good to us ! this happens to be one of my favorite sayings, because it’s so true.  He's ready and waiting. I don’t know about you but this brings joy to my heart. The idea of knowing that God has an unconditional love for me and he wants the best for me, makes me want to shout up and down with praise ! yes I’m serious. When you experience God’s grace in your heart, you will never be the same. Because you know how it feels, you know the feeling is undeniable. Now, I do understand that we go through life and unfortunate situations so it may be pretty hard to celebrate anything in your life. I want to encourage you that God is here for you Sis, He is still there, and we are going to face situations in our life that will try to take us away from the Lord but we must always remember, He is always here, and no matter how tough life gets find a way to celebrate Jesus every chance you get, because he died for you. He loves you.

With all the beautiful promises that God has given us, and to see how much he loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son (John 3:16)  That’s so deep. Why not celebrate Jesus every chance you get ? Why not profess your love for Him just as he did for you ? I think it’s a beautiful thing. Let’s rejoice in the name of Jesus. Listed below are 4 ways to Celebrate Jesus ! Are you with me Sis ?

Celebrating Jesus Everyday

1. Sing to the Lord - This one is my favorite ! even though I can’t sing to save my life, I sing for the Lord!!  Yes, sing to the Lord even if you don’t know how to sing, find a great worship song, learn the words and sing your little heart out to Jesus, he will love it !

When Paul and Silas were beaten and put into jail for preaching God’s word and leading people to the kingdom of God, they were placed in jail and they both continued to celebrate Jesus by praying and singing hymns to God. (Acts 16:11-34)

    2. Pray with thanksgiving-  Always pray to God with thanksgiving, praise Him for all that he has done for you. This is a great way to celebrate Jesus and give thanks to Him. This will for sure glorify Jesus, just being so very thankful for God never throwing us away, for always being there and loving on us. He’s so merciful.

I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. I will boast in the Lord; his praise will always be on my lips. I will boast in the Lord; the humble will hear and be glad. Proclaim the Lord’s greatness with me; let us exalt his name together."

      3. Write love notes to Jesus- This is for sure one of my favorites! I started writing love notes to God in my journal and let me tell you it’s the best thing ever. So grab a sticky note or a journal pad and start writing love notes to God. He will love this so much! You can tell him how much you love him, how you miss him, how you can’t wait to spend some alone time with him, it's so fun! And Jesus will love this! It’s another way to celebrate him, and also celebrate the relationship you have with him. Keep it exciting and fun, just as you would for a normal person ( not saying people or normal lol ) but you get what i'm saying right ?

      4. Take Jesus out on a date-  Yep I said it ! take Jesus on a date, go to a nice quiet coffee shop or a quiet park, take your journal to either have a heart to heart writing session with Jesus, don't forget to bring your Bible too ! and read Song of Songs ! this is my favorite story in the Bible it's so beautiful and loving. I remember when I worked at the University of Redlands in Redlands CA, there was a beautiful park across the street, I would go there on lunch time and have a date with Jesus, just me, my journal and a pen, sometimes my lunch too. It was so beautiful, I enjoyed every single moment of this intimate time with the Lord. I wrote to him, laughed. One time I even brought a blanket to lay on the grass and look up at the trees and talk to him. I'm sure my co workers thought I was nutty LOL ,but hey it was one of the best times of my life. I will forever cherish those moments. During our dates he would reveal himself, he would talk to me, I would learn about myself, it was amazing! So take Jesus out on a date girl and quit playing.
