4 Scriptures to Pray to Banish Fear

Fear, such a small word but so powerful. I've been a victim of fear throughout life. Until I gave my worries, problems and pain over to God. Fear held me captive. I was fearful when It came to speaking, fearful when it came to expressing myself and fearful when anything I planned did not go as I planned. Still to this day I suffer from slight fear of some things that happen in life. It's normal to experience the feeling of fear or anxiety when things happen out of our control. But, God tells us not to worry, not to be fearful, for he will never forsake us, nor leave us. God truthfully loves us and wants us to be fearless. 

I’ll admit, sometimes I forget how much God truthfully loves me, and although I’ve experienced God’s love on many different occasions, sometimes I tend to forget that he promises to be here with me at all times. Especially when life starts to happen, unfortunate circumstances arise and my faith is being put to the test, this is when fear tries to make itself very well known. As believers it’s important for us to know God’s word. His word is protection for us.  So in honor of God and loving him. I'm listing 4 out of the many verses to pray to banish fear ! Let’s kick fear in the butt ! We rebuke fear in Jesus' name amen.

4 Scriptures to meditate on when your're feeling fearful

 1. John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” 

No matter what is going on in life, that may be causing the feeling of fear to arise within you. I’m here to tell you that God is with you. He will never leave you, there may be days you feel as if you are alone on this path, but you’re not. God wants to give you peace in this time, he does not provide materialistic things that the world provides for happiness he provides an amazing amount of peace that surpasses anything.

2. Mark 6:50 "Because they all saw him and were terrified. Immediately he spoke with them and said, " Have courage ! It is I. Don't be afraid" 

No need to be afraid Sis, God has your back in everything you do. Everything is always working in your favor. God is a super hero literally, he will save you from anything. He will always come through for you. So hand your fears over to him. Say here God here are my fears, I no longer want to hold on to these ! And he will deliver for you. 

3. Psalm 28:7 " The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart celebrates, and I give thanks to him with my song. 

Praise Jesus for being so good to us, for being here when we need him the most. He is our strength and our shield, always remember he will never leave you. Celebrate this and give thanks for his mighty love is everlasting.

4.  Isaiah 41:10- Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with my righteous right hand.

Another amazing verse about not fearing because God is with us. He dwells within us Sis, so there's no way you can possibly ever be alone in this life. The Holy Spirit lives within you and you were created to push past any fearful emotions that come up. Of course we can't do it alone, we need to be reminded of how amazing and powerful our God is and he only wants the absolute best for us, so put your trust and hope in him and watch him work wonders in your life.

There you have it 4 scriptures to pray to banish fear! Also, I want to encourage you to stand strong in the Lord, he is a mighty Lord and he is always ready to fight for us when we can't fight for ourselves. I remember countless times in my life where my spirit was just crushed from life and circumstances, all I could do was cry and pray, it was a very dark place for me in the beginning and sometimes I would pray and I wouldn't hear from God right away and It would hurt my feelings more. I felt like he was supposed to answer when I cried and he did in his timing. He came and healed me from the fear that I had, it was always bottled up in my chest area, or when I lost my job before, certain fear would come up when rent would be due and I really didn’t know what to do, God made a way, Girl ! let me tell you ! he made an absolute way ! and he is so real and so loving, when you experience his love it's the best thing in the entire world, it just brings tears to my eyes thinking of all the times he held me in his arms and I cried. All the times he used someone as a vessel to speak to me in a time of need, it's amazing, we are so blessed to have the Holy Spirit within us. So give your fears over to God he can handle them all big or small. Why waste your joy on fear ? it’s faith over fear Sistah Girl ! be strong, be courageous and be the light today! I love you!
