3 Tips for an Amazing Quiet time with God

Do you desire to have amazing quiet time with God?

Hey Sis, I'm praying all is well with you and as your Sister in Christ I know you desire spending more time with the Lord right?  You love Him and you want quiet time to be fun and exciting right? At least that's how I feel. Well within the past couple years quiet time wasn't always easy to just jump into ,in fact there were times I had to pray and ask God to please help me to even pick up my Bible. So, with prayer and thanksgiving the Holy Spirit allowed me to come up with a few amazing things that I do for a great quiet time with God, and I'm very grateful to be able to share them with you. Check them out below ! and let's thrive in our quiet time together!

1. Set up a "Special Time" with God- Make a special time with God, that is just for you and Him. Make this time "Special", you know kind of how you make it special when you go out on a date with an actual person? Write this in your calendar, write sticky notes with reminders of your "Special time" with God, even if it's everyday at the same time...your time with God is special and you should set your mind up for this time that you're about to spend with the Lord. (although we should never "make" time for God we should "give" him our time, it's still fun and exciting to make an actual date out of your time with God, he's special too. =) make it fun!

 Prayer works

2. Prayer Power-  Always pray before you dive into your Bible, before you dive into quiet time which should be filled with more prayer, always pray before you do anything. When you pray before quiet time the Holy Spirit then has the ability to lead you. You will be led to scripture if your quiet time consists of reading the Bible which I hope it does, at least a verse, or If you're writing in your journal, you can ask the Holy Spirit to lead you as well, and you can write it out and speak to God this way. But, always, always. always, pray first girl

3.Journal w/ crafts (stickers, highlighters & pens)As stated above when you incorporate a journal in your quiet time with God it really opens up a door of intimacy between you and God. Also, why not add some stickers, pretty colorful markers and pens? it's fun and stress relieving, you can write down your favorite scriptures either in your Bible or on a journal page. I love journals so much! I've been keeping journals all my life I promise. However, I do understand writing is not for everyone, that's agreeable, but how about giving it a shot when you're reading your Bible? get some cute little stickers, decorate your journal with God's love and His word, trust me it's fun and super cute and will help you get into quiet time and have some fun while you're at it! Besides spending quality time with God and praying this is my favorite, I'm pretty much a sticker hoarder at this point.

There you have it Sis! These are the top 4 things that I've incorporated in my routine to make my quiet time with God even more amazing than it already is. I hope you can do the same. But always remember God just wants your heart, He wants a heart to heart relationship with you. Catch you in my next blog post. Love ya!

Warmly,

Camille Alane
