4 Negative Thoughts that are Holding you Back from your own Blessings.

Thoughts are racing through our minds all the time. We think millions of thoughts a day. Studies even show that majority of the thoughts that we think daily are negative. I remember when there was a period in my life where all of my thoughts were negative and I had so much negative self talk that I didn't even realize it.

Negative thoughts can be repetitive and they can lead to depression in some cases. In Proverbs 23:7 God tell us, as a man thinks so does he become. In this scripture God is letting us know that we become what we think. For God to mention this in the Bible we have to take it into consideration that our thoughts have power to them. God wants to bless us every chance he gets, I believe that he created the Bible as a personal love story to us as his children and he warns us of so many things that have come to pass. He also give us so many promises. We must line up our thinking and our thoughts with the word of God. One of my favorite scriptures to meditate on is  Psalm 139:17 God, how precious your thoughts are to me; how vast their sum is! if I counted them, they would out number the grains of sand; when I wake up, I am still with you.

God is so very good Sis ! I'm here to tell you. When you realize how much he loves you and how much he cares about you, you will soon began to think and feel the same about yourself. Negative thoughts suck so much ! makes me want to scream!! okay okay that's a little extreme. But what if I told you that your negative thoughts could possibly be holding back from your own blessings? Now I'm not saying that God is not going to bless you because you have negative thoughts, but what I am saying is, If God tells us that we are basically what we think in Proverbs 23:7 as stated above. Then if we think negative all the time... we eventually will become just that, and the blessings that are lined up for us can't possibly come into our lives because we are filled with too much negative fog. So to help you out Sis I have listed 7 Negative thoughts that might be holding you back from your own blessings! Let's kick these negative thoughts in the butt! and rebuke them in Jesus name !

4 Negative Thoughts

1. I'm not good enough-  This is one of the biggest negative thoughts. Thinking that your're not good enough for anything. Well guess what? this is a plain out lie straight from Satan himself. You're more than good enough and your more than capable of anything. The more you think this thought over and over again it will lead you down a dark path of thoughts, affect your self esteem and cause you to miss any blessings that may already be present in your life. God loves you dearly and He says that you're more than enough.

"Remain in him so that when he appears we may have confidence and not be ashamed before him at his coming" (1 John 2:28)

    2. Nothing ever goes right for me- This thought right here is one annoying victimizing thought that creeps up every time something goes wrong or the plans that we have don't go as we imagined. This thought has for sure come over me several times. However if we constantly tell ourselves that nothing ever goes right for us then nothing will ever go right for us its just that simple. Also we have to understand that it could be a blessing if God didn't allow it to happen.

"The mind of a man plans his way but the Lord directs his steps" (Proverbs 16:9)

      3. I'm a failure- This is a thought that comes up when something we attempt to do fails. Sometimes we fail at things in life and that's okay. When you fail you don't have to be hard on yourself. Failing is a good thing it just depends on how you look at it. Honestly God has created you to be a prosperous individual. He has a purpose for you with your name on it. It might take some failed attempts to get the ball rolling in life. So recognize that failing is okay. Tell yourself that God is within you and you will not fall (Psalm 46:5)

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (2 Corinthians 12:9-10) 4

        4. Nobody cares about me- This is another sabotaging thought that we may have, or maybe we have said this to ourselves before. I know I have, I’ve definitely had a self pity party a lot of times in life and this thought has come to my mind several times. This thought is a lie from Satan himself. He will lie to you, over and over again. He will even go as far as giving you examples of how people in your life might not care about you which is a lie. Truth is God cares and even if you truly feel like no one cares at least you know God does, and he will never forsake you.

Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6)

There you have it Sis, 4 of the biggest negative thoughts that can possibly be holding you back from your own blessings. I pray this is able to resonate with you and help you on your journey. Always remember we must renew our minds continually in Christ. Our minds are a battlefield and a place where Satan likes to show up most, if your thoughts are not aligning with the thoughts of the Lord then they aren’t thoughts that God wants you to be having. Always stand strong in faith and always keep God first ! Love ya Sis ! Catch you in my next blog.
